What is Hill Launch Assist? (HLA)

Mazda Hill Launch Assist (HLA) automatically turns on when you stop on a slope, so you can drive off safely and effortlessly. When you drive off on a slope, this function keeps the automatic brake on so that the car does not roll backwards. To accelerate smoothly on a slope, the automatic brake is switched off immediately as soon as you press the accelerator.
